Local Lodge 837B Secretary-Treasurer

Scott Tinker

Scott Tinker currently serves Local Lodge 837 B as the Secretary-Treasurer. This vital function in your Local Lodge Affairs is a demanding job as Scott must ensure each and every Local Lodge dollar spent is done so according to the Lodge By-laws and IAM Constitution. Scott's dedication and determination to serve the Lodge properly keeps him busy each month.

On a broader scale, Scott is the elected Plant Chairman serving the District members of GKN on first shift. As a Plant Chairman, Scott is a member of the Negotiating Committee responsible for providing the best contract possible under their articles of agreement.

In the past, Tinker has provided his services in a wide variety of activities. He has been a District Delegate, District Trustee, Shop Steward, Grand Lodge Delegate twice, served on the Guide Dogs Committee, and on the District By-Laws Committee.

Scott received training for Community Service, Basic Editor, Leadership I and Collective Bargaining at the IAM's WWW Training Facility in Placid Harbor, MD.

Scott has been a member of the IAM since August of 1981. He is married with two children. In his off hours, Scott enjoys Camping and motorcycle rides.
