Want to promote positive changes in America's Economy? The Unionized Workforce does just that. In a time when our workers are being attacked on every front, it is up to the you to fight for economic justice and social equality. The first step is to let your Union know of someone in a non-union shop that is interested in learning how the IAM can help. You Can't Keep a Good Machinist Down...
How Brothers Terneus and Richardson Helped Save Brother Schafer's Life

Local Lodge 837B Recording Secretary

Kim Jones

Hi, my name is Kim Jones.  I joined the IAM in 1988 as a TAPCS and I am now a Material Handler in Bldg 101.  I am a 3rd shift Shop Steward for Boeing and have held that position for 8 years.  Before becoming a Shop Steward I held the position of Safety Person in Bldg 2.  I am also currently holding the positions of Recording Secretary for 837B and I am 837B’s Chairperson for the Women’s Committee.  Before taking on my current positions in the lodge I was the Lodge B’s Conductor.

I am currently attending Florissant Community College in the evenings.  I am working on getting my degree in Human Services.  I grew up in North County and currently I am still living there.  I have a daughter who is attending Webster University and who is working on a degree in Psychology.

Outside of work I enjoy riding my Harley when time permits and volunteering my time to help out with the Guide Dogs of America.  I enjoy going to flea markets and looking for antiques.  Most important of all I enjoy spending time with my family.
