Our Executive Board Mission
The mission of Local Lodge 837B's Executive Council is to provide accurate and timely information on the affairs of the Local Lodge, its membership, our community, and our nation. We hope that this site will educate our membership and community on the importance of remaining active in the affairs of the Lodge, educate the membership and community on important issues of the day, and provide a forum that encourages greater debate on all issues affecting the lives and livelihood of working class Americans.
Local Lodge Profile
The membership of Local Lodge 837B is responsible for creating the finest military aerospace defense products in the world and maintaining many of the support operations in the facilities where the manufacturing occurs. The Lodge represents employees of both GKN Aerospace-St. Louis operations and The Boeing Company-St. Louis operations.
Local Lodge 837B classifications represented at GKN are Machinist, Machine Repair Mechanic, & Industrial Process Maintenance, while the Boeing classifications represented are Builder - Mock Up & Tooling, Grinder - Precision T&C, Heat Treater, Inspector - Aircraft, Inspector - Aircraft FG, Inspector - Assembly, Inspector - Metrology, Inspector - Tool & Die, Machinist - All Around, Machinist - General, Maintenance Mechanic AA, Material Handler Specialist, Mechanic - Electrical & Electronics, Mechanic - Electro-Optic, Mechanic - Flight, Mechanic - Automotive, Mechanic - Machine Repair, Painter - Maintenance, Pipe Fitter - Maintenance, Production Material Coordinator, Template Maker, Tool & Die Maker, and Welder -Tooling.
